On Mondays, there’s no time for television. Kid gets back from practice around 8PM, eats something, and goes to bed. But Tuesdays are clear.

Yesterday morning, on the way to school, I asked Kid if she’d be willing to try another episode of Doctor Who. “We are NOT watching Doctor Who,” she replied.

“Okay. We don’t have to watch television, really. We could eat dinner at the table like people, and then play Munchkin, and then say we’re sorry and go to bed.”

And I left it at that.

In the evening, I asked her again if she’d be willing to try another episode. “Okay, but only because I don’t want to sit at the table and make pleasant conversation,” she said.

She watched two.

And now she’s curious about the Weeping Angels. And honestly, if River Song + Weeping Angels doesn’t get her hooked, nothing will.
